Just Friends – Charlie Parker This song has different mood altogether. The instruments are impactful and it brings about a melancholic undercurrent. The genre is surely Jazz. While describing its musical qualities it can be said that the composition is smooth with no complexity. The tempo is not very fast. The accompaniments are also well balanced and complement Parker’s style of playing. As you start listening to the song, initially it seems very similar but as time proceeds the uniqueness of the composition is understood. I will accept that of all the music heard so far for this course, this one by Charlie Parker was something different.
